The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a religious formation approach based on scripture and liturgy that uses the educational principles of the Montessori method. The Montessori method is based on self-directed activity and hands-on learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions and discover the answers through work with specially crafted presentations and materials. The children will be spending time in the atrium becoming familiar with the set-up of our environment, exploring some parables from the Bible and the stories leading up to and including Jesus’ birth, death, resurrection, and learning about parts of the Mass. If you are new to our parish, or have a child in this age group who is not yet signed up, please register below.

Children ages 3 (as of August 1, 2026) through Kindergarten who are potty-trained are eligible for participation in CGS. If registration exceeds 6, preference will be given to Kindergarteners.
